Books-to-film: Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Vampire fans unite! Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series is due to hit the big screen on Valentine's Day 2014. Which is really creepy when you consider it's the most romantic day of the year. Am I right? (Well, maybe it's just me who finds that an incredibly awkward time of year to want to watch a horror).

The story: "Two years after a horrible incident made them run away, vampire princess Lissa and her guardian-in-training Rose are found and returned to St. Vladimir's Academy, where one focuses on mastering magic, the other on physical training, while both try to avoid the perils of gossip, cliques, gruesome pranks, and sinister plots."
