The name of the star by Maureen JohnsonRory Deveaux, an entertaining teenager from a tiny town in New Orleans, moves with her family to England for a year. Enrolled in an exclusive London boarding school her life gets very weird. Rory’s arrival in London coincides with a series of gruesome murders that replicate Jack the Ripper’s notorious killing spree over a hundred years earlier. Rory finds herself at the centre of Rippermania when she talks to a mysterious man in the grounds of her school on the same night a body is found there; a man nobody else saw. From that point on life gets a little crazy. A great quirky book that is worth reading if you like something just a little bit spooky.
