Trei and his twin sister Souk, along with their friend Crien, leave their prehistoric clan and head north. North to find the Manhunters, and to learn the skills of hunting bison and mammoth. Anything to save them from the starvation within their own clan, the People of the Canyons.
Thus begins this action-packed trilogy, which details the journeys of the three.
