Red spikes is the third of Margo Lanagan’s colour-titled short story collections. Lanagan’s stories range from the gentle to the creepy, and all points in between, leaning toward the dark spectrum.
This is a true short story collection – where the tales stand alone – and each has to be appreciated by themselves. They are also wonderful examples of the short story genre – and the skill it takes to write an amazing one.
