Recommendation: 'The Adoration of Jenna Fox' by Mary E. Pearson

Who is Jenna Fox? Seventeen-year-old Jenna has been told that is her name. She has just awoken from a coma, they tell her, and she is still recovering from a terrible accident in which she was involved a year ago. But what happened before that? Jenna doesn't remember her life. Or does she? And are the memories really hers?

Set in the near future, this book explores the ethics of Bio-engineering. How far will people go for their children? What is it that makes us human? Is there a limit to how much we should interfere with nature? These are some of the deep questions that lie at the heart of this novel.

This is a book of self discovery, tinged with the horrors of future possibilities. From the beginning of time people have always asked "Who am I?" but in this book the answers are surprising. A unique and yet believable setting. I enjoyed this book.
