Recommendation: 'Putting makeup on dead people' by Jen Violi

Putting makeup on dead people by Jen Violi
Donna decides her career path – her life goal – at a classmate’s funeral: she wants to be a funeral director. This doesn’t got down well with her mother, as Donna has been withdrawing from everyone since her father’s death four years earlier. How can Donna make everyone understand that she is actually moving on, and not staying still. That this is what she is meant to do. A realistic portrayal of grief and how it stays part of a person’s life forever – as each member of Donna’s family grieve, and the choices they make so they can continue to live, and have a future.

A similar book is The truth about forever by Sarah Dessen. Why not try it out, too?

A 4 star read for me.
