Time to hit the books...

...and the websites, and the online databases, and... everywhere! to help you with your study this year.

Libraries, librarians, and their fav links can be your one stop shop when it comes to helping you with your schoolwork this year.

Did you know you can get out NCEA - and other - study guides? Search our catalogue for study guides and use the options on the left-hand sidebar to narrow your search down. Of course, you can narrow your search right from the beginning - like year 13 study guides or history study guides - or whatever combo you want!

Need a newspaper or journal or magazine article? Want to explore both sides of a topic for an essay, or speech, or debate? Check out the resources in our digital library.

Really stuck? Totally lost? Don't panic! Librarians from around the country - including a great team from Auckland Libraries - are online between 1pm and 6pm Monday to Friday to help you navigate through the information maze. Log on to and someone will be there to help guide you through. If you speak Maori, the - the te reo service - team are happy to help. You can use the form to book a time with them.

Also check out the / site - this is a growing database of guides to finding the best resources for common - or curly - questions the / teams have been asked over the years.

So - yes, it is sad that the holidays are over and you're all back studying. But, rest assured, we're here to help!

And - you are more than welcome to come and talk to us in person! Any one of our 55 libraries will be able to help - and steer you in the right direction.

Good luck guys!

- Annie
