Auckland Writers and Readers Festival 12 – 16 May 2010

If you’re lucky, your school has booked you in to one of the school events on Tuesday and Wednesday… if not make sure you’ve got some time over the weekend to go to one of the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival sessions.

You could spend an hour with Charlie Higson author of the Young James Bond series.

On Sunday, listen in as Lia Hills chats about her first young adult novel – The beginner’s guide to living. Best of all – it’s a free event!

Ever heard of David Levithan? Get an adult to buy a ticket because under 16s are free if they’re with a ticket holder.

Spend an hour learning about the art of songwriting with Tama Waipara and Warren Maxwell – another great FREE event!

More into poetry? Hang out at Poetry Idol – I’ve heard amazing things about last year’s event.

Find out more at the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival website.
